Announcing cost effective Enterprise activity days for your Key Stage 4 year groups
QCA and Ofsted want a new focus on Enterprise education for all Key Stage 4 pupils. This includes the equivalent of five days of Enterprise activity which builds on existing work experience. Enterprise capability can be defined as: innovation, creativity, risk-management and risk-taking, a can-do attitude and the drive to make ideas happen.
Linking many years of blue chip business management with school advisor experience on Enterprise education over the last 2 years, E4A have developed a range of highly effective Enterprise activity days for your 14 – 16 year groups.
We give you an interactive day that introduces students to the many different aspects of the world of business. The day is based around how students will have to work in business rather than in the classroom environment. We take the worry out of delivering your Enterprise days. Each activity is managed by our business staff leaving your teachers free to focus on their other priorities.
Each of the following Enterprise days has a specific focus on a key subject but requires the application of many other skills from the pupils during the day:
Enterprising Engineering - Building and marketing virtual cars
Enterprising Environment - Increase environmental awareness and responsibility
Enterprising Teamwork - Team work & problem solving against time constraints
Enterprising Business - Turn around a failing shop
Enterprising Football - With professional coaches from Premiership clubs
We are also developing days specific to the needs of schools with specialist requirements. If you have a project that we can help you with this can be achieved at no additional cost to the above Enterprise days. More information on our research and development with our underlying delivery principles can be found at www.e4a.org.uk
E4A takes the hassle out of delivering your Enterprise education requirement
You and your staff are already extremely busy. The delivery of Enterprise education through the curriculum is another area in which we can support you. The training days from E4A include detailed lesson plans, student and teacher evaluation, interactive sessions, team building, computer aided business simulation and presentations by the pupils. This enables you to meet and exceed what Ofsted requires of you on Enterprise education.
On the day your teacher responsibility is simply to supervise your pupils and ensure discipline is maintained.
Enterprise training days that simulate a real business environment
The ideal environment for pupils to learn about business would be to work in a company. However, this is not always practical and they are often given unskilled or manual level jobs during their work experience rather than looking at markets, finance and strategic issues.
E4A Enterprise training days overcome this problem for you. We build into the day business simulation activities and computer models. Each day includes activities that will be found in every day working life. These include solving problems against time constraints as a team, the preparation and presentation of a business proposal, sales tactics, marketing, team work, operational planning and much more. The days are also very cost effective per pupil.
